The Minnesota Vikings are a professional American football team based in Minneapolis. The Vikings compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the National Football Conference (NFC) North division. The team was founded in 1960 as an expansion team and began play in 1961. The Vikings have won one NFL championship, in 1969, and have appeared in four Super Bowls, losing all four.
The Vikings have a number of players who are set to become free agents in 2025. These players include wide receiver Justin Jefferson, running back Dalvin Cook, and defensive end Danielle Hunter. All three players are key members of the Vikings’ offense and defense, and their departures would be a significant blow to the team.
