SOSP 2025 is the 29th ACM Symposium on Operating Systems Principles, which will be held from October 2628, 2025, in Bangalore, India. The conference will bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to discuss the latest advances in operating systems research.
SOSP is a premier forum for the presentation of new research results in all areas of operating systems, including systems design and implementation, distributed systems, security, and performance evaluation. The conference is highly selective, with only a small fraction of submitted papers being accepted. This year’s conference will feature a keynote speech by Dr. Barbara Liskov, the winner of the 2008 Turing Award.
