The West Virginia Mountaineers football team’s 2025 schedule has not yet been released. However, the team is expected to play a 12-game regular season schedule, with eight games at home and four games on the road. The Mountaineers will open the season at home against the Towson Tigers on September 6, 2025. They will then travel to Pittsburgh to face the Panthers on September 13th. The Mountaineers will have their bye week on October 4th, and they will close out the regular season at home against the Kansas State Wildcats on November 29th.
The Mountaineers are coming off a 6-7 season in 2022, and they are hoping to improve upon that record in 2023. They have a talented roster, led by quarterback JT Daniels and running back CJ Donaldson. The Mountaineers also have a number of experienced players on defense, including linebacker Josh Chandler-Semedo and safety Sean Mahone. The Mountaineers are hoping to make a bowl game in 2025, and they believe that they have the talent to do so.
