Martin Luther King Jr. Day, commonly known as MLK Day, is a federal holiday in the United States marking the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. It is observed on the third Monday of January each year, which in 2025 falls on January 20th.
Established in 1983, MLK Day is a day to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King, a civil rights leader who fought for racial equality and social justice. It is a day to reflect on his teachings and recommit ourselves to the principles of nonviolence and equality.
