The 2025 Iowa Hawkeyes football schedule is important because it will be the first season under new head coach Matt Campbell. Campbell was hired in December 2022 after spending six seasons as the head coach at Iowa State. Campbell is a proven winner, having led the Cyclones to three bowl games in his six seasons. He is also a two-time Big 12 Coach of the Year. The Hawkeyes are hoping that Campbell can bring the same success to Iowa City. The Hawkeyes have not won a Big Ten Championship since 2004 and have not played in a Rose Bowl since 2009. Campbell is hoping to change that in 2025.
