Grand Valley State University’s (GVSU) spring break for 2025 is scheduled to begin on Saturday, March 8th, and end on Sunday, March 16th. Spring break is a week-long holiday that gives students a chance to relax, recharge, and catch up on schoolwork. It is also a popular time for students to travel with friends or family.
GVSU’s spring break is typically one of the busiest travel weeks of the year. In 2023, more than 1.5 million people traveled by air during spring break. Popular destinations for spring break travel include Florida, Mexico, and the Caribbean. However, with the rising cost of travel, many students are opting to stay closer to home for spring break. There are plenty of fun and affordable things to do in Michigan during spring break, such as visiting Mackinac Island, exploring the Sleeping Bear Dunes, or attending a Tigers game.
