The Davita Kidney Function Calculator is an online tool that can be used to estimate a person’s kidney function. It is a useful tool for people who are at risk of developing kidney disease, or who have been diagnosed with kidney disease and are monitoring their condition.
The calculator uses a person’s age, gender, race, weight, and serum creatinine level to estimate their glomerular filtration rate (GFR). GFR is a measure of how well the kidneys are filtering waste products from the blood. A GFR of less than 60 mL/min/1.73 m2 is considered to be a sign of kidney disease.
