Christmas Vacation 2 (2025) is an upcoming American Christmas comedy film directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, who co-wrote the screenplay with Michael Gilio. The film is a sequel to the 1989 film National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and the fifth installment in the National Lampoon’s Vacation film series. The film stars Ed Helms, Beverly D’Angelo, and Chevy Chase, reprising their roles from the previous films, with new cast members including Skyler Gisondo, Steele Stebbins, and Cailee Spaeny.
The film follows the Griswold family as they prepare for Christmas in their new home in Chicago. However, their plans are quickly derailed by a series of mishaps and disasters, including a power outage, a broken furnace, and a runaway turkey. Despite the chaos, the Griswolds manage to find the true meaning of Christmas in the end.
