The Southeastern Conference (SEC) Basketball Tournament is an annual postseason men’s basketball tournament for the 14 member schools of the SEC. The tournament is held in March at a predetermined site, and the winner receives the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The SEC Basketball Tournament was first held in 1933, and it has been held every year since then. The tournament has been held at a variety of sites over the years, including Birmingham, Alabama; Nashville, Tennessee; and Atlanta, Georgia. The tournament is currently held at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
